Tavira Tower (Cádiz)
The site is located in the basement of the current Puppet Theater “La Tía Norica”. It is structured in different planes that correspond to the different periods of occupation of the settlement, highlighting the layout of streets, homes and utensils corresponding to the ninth century B.C.
A total of eight houses are conserved, distributed in two terraces and organized around two paved streets. All these constructions have been made following what is called earth architecture, that is, mainly made with mud and clay.
In addition to these Phoenician remains, constructions of a factory for Roman fishery manufacturing are preserved, with their pools for salting fish.
